Honda EU2000 HELP

All,
I was working on my Honda EU2000 generator and removed the wires from the 6 prong connector going to the controller as shown in photo below. Unfortunately I lost my notes indicating the wire location into the connector. There are 5 wires, Blue (12awg), Red (12awg), White (12awg), Red (20awg) and Green (20awg). I can only remember that the White wire is in the center socket adjacent to lock and the opposite socket is empty as shown in the sketch below.

Dose anyone out there have their generator handy where they can open the side panel and take a look and let me know the sequencing in a clockwise our counter clockwise orientation starting from the white wire?

FYI…the photo of the generator with the nice hour meter is not mine, I just pulled it off the net for reference!

Any Help would be great!

geee--only thing i had to do was bang loose my valves lol.......mine is 6 yrs old.....and badly mistreated.....still working nicely and first pull start.....go figger.......

I have my 2008 model right here. This is the connector under the clear cover, right? ..... The white wire in the middle (toward the cover) the blue above it(pos 1), the orange below it (pos 4). The heavy red is next to the blue(pos 2). The small green goes (pos 3), at the bottom of the plug....
I can not see any wire going next to the white one. I think your red 20 is my orange 20, pos 4? I can not see a small red, but have a small orange- maybe I do not have a small red because I have the 110 outlets and DC charger?

Thank you very much for your effort and quick reply. You are most likely right in that the 20 awg wire is orange as I am terribly color blind. Quite frightening to think I am working with color coded wires!

You might tie LOOSE KNOTS IN EACH WIRE (next time) ie. one knot in the first one on the right, two knots in the next, etc. It's worked for me.

Okay, Frank- glad to help. Were you doing some mod, or just tinkering? Novelman, the wire's ain't but a couple inches long to start with.

As an electrician I have found my cell phone camera a great tool on the job for projects where I need to record wire orientation in addition to the notes
