Just bought a 26x with a Honda 50, the control linkage to the outboard will not allow the engine to be raised up to clear the water when sailing; it hits the steering linkage. Anyone have the same problem or has found a fix??
I have a 1999 26X with the Honda 50 and it clears the (newer style) linkage easily when up. Perhaps your cables and hose need to be re-routed. In any event, it should clear. Good luck!
