I have had a little antique coal burning stove and an 80 watt solar panel laying around for a long time. I recently came across a free solar air heating panel and ended up combining all this into what amounts to a home solar space heater. The details are in the link below - somewhat long. I had posted this earlier on one of the trailer sailor sub forums but I also recently added a PV "small grid tie" charging system to power a fan (used the 80 watt panel) so this has a new section.
So far, it’s working as expected, about like a 750 watt space heater that runs when it’s sunny and at least this time of year seems to make a difference. It hasnt been cold yet here so how well it works in very cold weather is still an unknown but Ill probably find out fairly soon. Still an experiment but no regrets so far
