Holding Tanks

Recently purchased a 1985 H-40, and have a few questions about the holding tanks, especially the aft one. (1) Does anyone out there know the capacity of each holding tank? (2) There is evidence that the aft tank has leaked, probably at the top of the tank. I suspect there is some effluent trapped between the top of the tank and the cabin sole. Has anyone out there lifted this section of the cabin sole to access this tank, or whatever? How difficult is this job? Any recommendations? (3) Has anyone installed a Lectra San unit, on either forward or aft head? Any recommendations on where to locate the Lectra-San?

Could be a foul mess underneath

I'm currently right in the middle of the project, we're replacing the aluminum tank that has now leaked under our ownership (it looks like the former owner had some problems also). Even though we spent a day cleaning up the mess when we were up in Canada cruising, there was still plenty of crap under the tank. If you haven't looked already, check out the Head Mistress archives on this website, it's a great source of information. The hardest part of the job is just getting started, once you dive into it, removing and replacing the tank isn't too difficult.
