1996 Beaneteau Oceanis 50 has three five gallon holding tanks ~ previous owner never used deck waste fittings and I cannot break open the access port ~ bought new waste fittings from West Marine and tubing connector is one millimeter bigger than tube fitting on top of holding tank ~ cannot get seal for vacuum to pump out ~ new holding tanks with larger tube fitting? Any suggestions?

Its not the best solution, but I wrapped electrical tape around the fitting until it matched id of hose then double clamped.

thanks ~ I will try wrapping with something similar and use heat gun and double bolt/nut type clamps

NO.... Don't use tape! I would try to get a reducer fitting. Another alternative, build a flange around the neck with 3M 5200 let it dry then install the hose with double clamps.

I admit to using tape in this circumstance, though I prefer the silicone tape to electrical. I don't think an adaptor from a metric size to non-metric is out there. 5200 sounds good, if it will stick. Getting an even buildup might be difficult.
