The holding tank on my '83 is a solid black box under the port settee. There is no indicator of how full or empty it is. Can anyone recommend an economical non-electronic indicator I can purchase and install myself, a mechanical dummy?

Other than tapping the side of the tank with a hammer, i don't know of any NON-ELECTRICAL gauges.

If you go to the classified section of the forum (electronics) you'll see a company called SCAD; they have a sensor that mounts outside the tank. I have their system and aftyer a little fiddling; it works great.
