What type/brand of hose should I use for the holding tank vent? The size of the fittings is 1/2 inch, which most sanitation hoses don't seem to come in. I want to find something that is not going to start smelling anytime soon. I am guessing the recommendation would be to have a bigger size vent in the first place, but I don't want to get into changing that at the moment.

Thanks!
Marty

Trident or Shields #148 is ok for vent line

For your system, buy 5/8". Installing a larger vent is a lot easier than you might think...when you're ready, give me a shout and I'll walk you through it.

Thanks for the response. Is there no 1/2 inch hose to use? Would rather not drill larger holes at the moment, unless there is away around that, have lots of other things to worry about.

5/8" should fit. It won't bankrupt you to try a 4' piece to find out. If it doesn't, we can look for a solution. But I'm pretty sure it will.

Thanks for the information Peggie! I have been looking at all the posts about making the vent bigger, definitely thinking about it.
