We seem to be having waste getting into the bilge. Completely filled the tank from the head - no visible leaks at connections - and pumped out via the macerator - again no leaks. The next day seemed to have water in the bilge - (Boat out for the winter when we did the test. My thought is that there might be a leak in the tank. I have contacted Catalina regarding the replacement - they said tank went in after boat completed. I have contacted Ronco for the exact replacement tank. Is there any suggested way of taking the tank out - it does have wood panels on the side to keep the tank from moving.Once I take the tank out, I will check for leaks. Any thoughts or advise would be appreciated. Thanks!!

Holding tank replacement

I replaced the starboard water tank in my Catalina 30 after trying to fix it several times. I ordered a new tank from Ronco. They can make just about any plastic tank. The wood had to be cut out and reglassed in afterwards.

Wild Guess

This is a wild guess but I once had holding tank leakage problems in a Catalina 30 and the problem was a disconnected vent hose. From what I remember the hose was routed midship on the port side to a stantion. This may not be the answer to your problem but check it out first. Good luck
