I want to remove a fiberglass holding tank, which i dont believe was the original tank. The tank will be replaced with another tank in a different location. My ONLY question is....is there a way to treat the holding tank in advance to remove all of the unpleasantness and odors before i cut into it. It will have to be cut apart and removed. odor removal

SailorTonyB, I was told the Pine Sol and bleach is used to rid odor ,as to how much? your guess is as good as mine, but any reduction is welcome as far as I'm concerned,Good luck Keep it up, Ctskip

Thanks for the info, im sure going to try everything before i cut into the tank. This is not the kind of thing i intend to do often, LOL. Its a shitty job at best.

I'm planning to do all my hoses next week .I need to get all the parts first before I open a hose. The fittings are leaking and I've been looking for the tight and foolproof way to do this messy job.Thinking about a thru-hulls for the fittings on the polypropylene tank. Good luck and like my wife tells me, Keep it up,I love it, Ctskip

Use Plastic Bags

Slip plastic bags over the hose ends as you remove them and duct tape them real good. Then you can pull the hoses out without spilling to much.
