Holding tank on an O'Day 25

My O25 came with a portapotti, but I know it was available with a 'standard' marine head/holding tank option. My question is how large of a holding tank was originally installed and where was it installed? I would like to upgrade from a portapotti, but anything less than about 20 gallons for a holding tank seems like a waste (no pun intended).

Holding tank ODay 25

The previous owner installed the holding tank on my ODay 25 under the V berth. I would guess it to be 15 gallons or so. It is one of those soft sided jobs. If you are interested I can take some digital pics next weekend and send them to you. The head uses sea water brought in though a seacock installed just astern of the the bulkhead under the port seat. A pumpout port was installed on the port side of the fore deck.

Flex Tank

How do you like the flex holding tank? I've thought about one of those, but am a bit concerned about whether or not odors are able to penetrate the relatively thin skin. My only problem there is that I installed a 37 gal water tank in front of a bulkhead (that I also installed) in the forepeak. There is room between the fiberglass bulkhead at the V-Berth and the bulkhead I installed, but my speed transducer was installed there as well and I don't want to limit access to that in case of an emergency. I have thought about relocating the transducer. I wouldn't mind seeing your pictures. My email is rmarcks@operamail.com Thanks Russ
