Holding Tank on a 2012 Hunter 33

Hi everyone, new to this forum and to our Hunter 33. Something that we just learned over the weekend that i thought would be great to share is the small size of the holding tank on the new 2012 Hunter 33. It's super tiny. The key to avoid the weekend pump-outs:
1) Don't use the toilet at all - but you want to use all the facilities on the boat right?
2) There are three buttons in the head for the toilet if you have the electric version - don't use the one at the top - this sucks and adds water. You want to use the buttons at the bottom. First you suck everything down then a touch of water. Best option.

This method has worked well for us.

What's the tank capacity supposed to be? Sometimes the vent can get clogged (pretty much always happens if the tank overflows), trapping air in the tank and reducing the capacity. And they're small enough without that!

57 litres. Can't imagine doing a 2-week cruise....w/o a pump-out somewhere along the way.

Ouch.... that is small. Ours is 95L or 25 gals. We've managed to squeek by at 5 nights without pump-out.

The new 33 spec a 15 gal. tank. Ours is a 2005 33.

They lengthened the cockpit and rearranged the interior, so I imagine had to downsize the holding tank to accomodate those changes on the e33.

The fuel and water tanks are still the same size.

Serious design flaw/mistake.
