Am looking for an external tank level monitor for 37 Beneteau.
Is anyone familiar with "Gobius 4 Level Indicator"? These are
about $400.

I installed the electrosense (electrosense.com) system for my holding tank, easy and a reasonable price, check it out. They do water tanks as well.

FerrielloSales.com makes a more robust system, for less and the owner himself supports the product from his operation in Florida, USA. You really don't want a bunch of Cat5 cabling and unsealed electronics in your head compartment.

We bought a Ferriello Sales system a few years ago and have been very happy with it.
Very easy to install and the owner was very helpful with questions.
I would buy the same again.

Old thread, but very little useful info on these sensors. I just installed a Gobius Pro on my 2009 Hunter 36 holding tank whose WEMA sensor is dead.

Very easy install, required only a power and ground connection (used those from my macerator which I eliminated.) Stuck sensor 2/3 up from bottom of tank, also wired optional LED indicator to sensor with display in rear cabin (I can easily see from main cabin). Bluetooth immediately connected to iPhone, ran thru idiot-proof setup and calibration in their app, voila. I’ll post back when it indicates I need to pump out at 2/3 full when the sensor trips.

I expect the LED and Bluetooth app to read green until fluid/waste detected at 2/3 full. The green light on the app screen is notional as to location. I know it’s at 2/3.

More expensive than other external tank sensors, but I didn’t have to pull any new wire.

It seems a bit costly.
I have this level sensor installed http://www.scadtech.com/tank_monitors or
from here http://www.ferriellosales.com/Monitoring_Systems.html.
They look the same so I don't know which one came first.
I have the 8 channel with 2 water tanks, and holding tank hooked up and works well.
Ferriello Sales is the mfr for the SCAD tank monitors, which explains why they look the same...SCAD is a private label brand name.
If all you need is a waste tank monitor, the single tank SOLO for about $250 direct from the mfr is the one I'd recommend.

So had the first red light indicator from the Gobius Pro tank monitor. Sure enough, 2/3 full, based on a visual check. This gave me a decent reserve of space in the event it occurred while out for the weekend. Happened to be at the slip, so was able to pump, rinse, repeat at the local pumpout (thank you Herrington Harbor North and state of Maryland who offer the facility for free). Green light came back on afterward. I'd call this a success for the Gobius Pro. Did have to re-change a setting in the app on my phone to get the light system to display properly; hope not to have to do so again in the future.

Not so cool was the M/V tied up unnecessarily blocking both pumpouts while me and another vessel turned circles, notifying the marina. Eventually the crew sauntered out and departed, opening up both spots. Grrrr...
