After spring launch of our B311 I can not open the holding tank access on deck. I have tried wd 40, blaster pb, used a hammer on the winch handle, the thing will not budge. Open to any and all suggestions

If it's the aluminum Amiot deck cap, I had to replace mine. It was seized solid. Beneteau sells a stainless replacement for around US$40.

I have exactly the same problem. And yes, it is the amiot aluminium. I don't mind replacing the cap (as long as it's only the cap and not the whole thing) but I also want to know how to remove it, no matter if I destroy it.

Removing it is easy. Just disconnect the hose from underneath, then remove the screws, and the whole deck cap assembly will lift out.

Clean the deck with a stiff brush, put some butyl tape around the opening, drop the new deck cap assembly in. The screw holes line up perfectly.

Reconnect the hose and you're done.

It's the only 30-minute job I've ever done that actually took 30 minutes.

This comes up every once in a while from people who have not "exercised" their wast/fuel/water fittings. It's the same as those who do not exercise their seacocks or the shutoff valvels beneath their home sinks. On the boat, it usually happens that forcing the cap will only result in tearing the deck fitting out of the deck. SO, from a previous post...

"The aluminum deck fill & cap assembly is discontinued for the very reason you have discovered. This from Ward Richardson at Beneteau:

"The Beneteau Deck fills have recently changed. The old version aluminum fittings and parts for them are no longer available. They have been replaced by a new stainless steel version.

Deck fill water SS Part Number 129432
Deck fill diesel SS Part Number 129433
Deck fill waste SS Part Number 129436 Dia 50mm Hose
Deck fill waste SS Part Number 129435 Dia 38mm Hose"

I had this a while back before I got my electroscan (which is awesome!). I removed the deck fitting on a weekend with no rain in forecast, taped over the hole, both the hose and the deck, and took the fitting home for removal. It came off with some bigger tools. I would not try to use big tools with the fitting screwed into the fiberglass, I'm sure it can do damage to the deck itself. Taking the fitting apart when off the boat was easy.
