Hunter 27_75-84 Merritt Island
When I bought my H27, I got the following story: This was the first hunter sailboat manufactured. Boat made in New Jersey and then sent to the FL plant for final outfitting. He was the original owner, bought the boat new in 75. Does anyone have any historic information that might add light for me. It would be nice to know that this was, in reality, the first of the line. Thanks.

Got your hin?

The hull identification # may help someone give you an answer. JCII may have some info. Also it may not hurt to call Hunter. Manny

Like Manny says, . . .

you should find a '001' in the hull id number if the story be true. And right again, if John Cherubini II sees this post you will get the straight skinny. It definitely could be true, the first boats having been built in New Jersey. But I never heard the part about them being sent to Florida for finishing. See the Related Link and then the two imbedded links to Sail Mag and to Esserman Yachts. Still not enough information as it says nothing about the move from NJ to FL.
