Hinged pulleys

Hi All

Does anyone know where I can obtain hinged pulleys (a bit like fixed
vertical Genoa cars) that can be attached to the mast to turn the
halyards back along the coachroof? They seem to be fitted to some
older boats (I think Contessa 26 and 33's had them?), but I cannot
find them listed anywhere.

Cheers

David, Try going to any of the larger mailorder marine stores. Go to sailboat hardware, What you are looking for is a hinged fairlead block. West Marine carries them. I'm sure others have them also. Yu might find them on Ebay also. WaltTo: AlbinVega@yahoogroups.comFrom: dr@...: Fri, 4 Jan 2008 16:30:50 +0000Subject: [AlbinVega] Hinged pulleys

Thanks Walt and Geoff, I found the Schaefer blocks at West Marine OK -
but may look on eBay for a while now I know what to call them. The
Schaefer blocks are just what I want but pretty expensive, especially
when I have to add carriage and Tax at this end.

Anyone got spares they don't want????

Cheers
