Hinged Head Seat

I noticed in the brochure for my 1992 Hunter 28 that there should be a hinged seat that can fold down over the head. Looking at the boat, it doesn't appear that there was ever a seat there. This model does have a separate shower seat but I am considering putting in a hinged seat over the head as well. Has anyone done this type of modification? Does it even make sense to install one (is it usefull)?

It's only useful if you plan on using the shower, or if you want to store items above the head, which you would have to move every time you wanted to use the head. I have one on my boat but I don't use it for the aforementioned reasons.
