I am close to purchasing a H37C (subject to survey) which the owner and the documentation states is a 1979. The HIN is HUN37007M78L. This indicates to me the boat is hull number 7 built in 1978. Any ideas why the registration and USCG document list the year as 1979? Does it matter? Thanks, Marc

Not an expert buy.
While I am not an expert I have found most 1979 model boats would have been made in 1978 and I am guessing this is what you have. Model year and manufacturing year are two different things. It should not matter at all in my opinion.
