Hillerange sticking control knob

I have a 1992 Hillerange propane two burner with oven stove. Starting last week the left burner control knob could not be pushed in to light the burner, the other burner continues to work well. Suggestions? thanks

I had a similar problem with my oven knob, only it was stuck in. I sprayed it liberally with PB Blaster and that did the job. The knob works fine, I even used the oven once this year!
