How many of you use a Highfield Lever on your Shrouds for trailering ? If you do did you simply exchange it for the turn buckle or did you need to have a new shroud made?

I have one on my forestay. Once that's pinned and the lever is locked in place I run a line around the fore and a cap stay and squeeze them together to get the slack I need to pin my turnbuckle to the forward chainplate. It's pretty easy so I didn't bother to buy two more highfields.

I have a quick-release lever on the forestay, although it's not a Highfield. Johnson Lever maybe? The same one @Hardhead posted. It was a direct replacement for the turnbuckle, no new forestay needed.

I don't like them on the forward lowers. You have to unpin them from the chainplate to adjust them, which makes rig tuning a PITA. And I mess with the rig often, including under sail when conditions change.

But I can live with this characteristic on the forestay, since the backstay is adjustable.
