I have Asian UK sails on my Hunter 380 (1999) and while they are well made, they are quite traditional in being Dacon cloth and sewed. I am also using a furling main in the mast and so far am quite happy with the rig. However, having raced for many years, I'm always looking to go a bit faster. What is Doyle (or other sailmakers ) doing in their research on roller furling mains? How is the dropped batten working out? What about new materials like plastic or molded sails? Basically, what's new on the market for roller furling mains?
