Seem to be a fair number of us around here these days. Maybe we should meet for a beer or cofee sometime? I'm thinking after the Maine Boat Builders show in Portland perhaps.Justin
Hey Justin, wish I could join you but Brunswick is about 310 miles from where I am.Nevertheless, are you familiar with the phrase: "The lobsters you have today, spent the night in Casco Bay." Hint: Paul's Marina out on Mere Point.Sincerely, Bayard M.Gross Catalina 22 High, Dry and Cold Owners Club Greenwich, CT
The Maine Boat Show is this weekend at the Cumberland County CivicCenter. while the Maine Boatbuilders Show is next weekend at (this isfor Jason) Portland Yacht Services, 58 Fore Street, Portland. Check outthe stuffer in today's daily newspapers.Justin, you and I met briefly once at that store on Marginal Way. MightI suggest a raft-up at the Old Port Tavern ... a crass commercial, mybrother owns the place.
B - Pauls is about 2 miles from where I sit - of course its about 10 miles of driving. As they say - can't get theah from heah.Jason - the boat show is March 21-23 at Portland Yacht Services in Portland. Its pretty neat. Its not a big commercial show - its pretty small but lots of neat new england and nova scotia built boats. I really like it. Justin
The great thing about the Maine Boatbuilder's show in Portland is that you get to rub elbows with the builders themselves. It's not a "glitzy" show like many of the other shows. It's "roll up you sleeves" owners. Even the clientel go to the show to check out the boats and place orders.Justin, Check our the Maine Hunter Sailing Association web site (see related link). We're based in Lewiston. I know a couple of guys that are planning on going although it isn't mentioned on the site.
