It is a type of plow (like a CQR and Delta) except instead of being convex like a farmers plow is is concave. Which when you sit back and think about it makes alot of sense. Instead of "plowing" through the sand or mud (like CQR and Delta, 2 very good anchors) it has a dish like anchor shape that catches the bottom and the more the boat pulls the more bottom material (sand/mud, etc) it catches in the front of the face of the anchor.Practical Sailor rated it very high in alot of tests. No anchor is perfect every single time, but this one consistently rates up there.Though I have a friend that got the "bulwagga" anchor which also rated very high and so far he is very pleased with it. Only problem its kindof odd shaped and probably a little difficult to mount on a bow roller or anywhere.(it is cheaper than the SPADE though) Take a look at thier website below. It is kindof pricey.....but is your boat worth it?(ps buy it directly from the manufacturer in Tunisia...its much cheaper)
