Help with Raymarine ST60 depth

Bought new ST60 instruments to replace my ST50's. So far I have boat speed & graphic(GPS) working. I haven't got to the top of the mast yet to put the wind transducer on yet. But my depth just shows dashes across the display. The transducer was good last year at haul out, I can't believed it failed over the winter. The manual says to check cable connections which I did and they look ok. Not much I can do because the cable is hardwired into the transducer. I am thinking the new instrument is bad. I have already inquired on the Raymarine website but they won't get back to me until they are at work tomorrow. Just wondering if any of you had a similar experience? Thanks.

Do you still have the old ST50

Try to hook up the old display and see what happens

Are you on the hard? If so the depth sounder has nothing to read and will give you dashes. Once in the water it should read the depth correctly. Also, check you wiring connection. The ST50 has only two wires. The ST60 has a three wire connection. The third wire connection is for the shielded wire that is not on the St50. Also, check the archieves as I think there were previous posts.

Unfortunately, I am in the water....

Again I hooked up the old display with the old transducer and it works. So Raymarine is wrong in saying the ST50 transducer is compatable with ST60 display - at least as far as the depth goes. Looks like I will have to haul out the boat and I'm ticked. I asked the questions of Raymarine before I launched.
