Help With Jib

I have a 1981 27ft Hunter. The jib needs a new roller furling and I dont know what the length of cable I need or the strength needed. The rest of the roller system is custom built in order to save money but with no cable or info on mounting it I am stuck. Please help. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum. The h27 came originally fitted with a Furlex 100. Instructions for the installation of that furler can be found on the manufacturers website. There are a bunch of h27 owners that can help but they are just as good as the information you provide them. Is your boat missing the headstay and the mast is down? Provide a good description with measurements and specs of the custom furler and if possible some pictures.
