On my 3GM30F, the short length of fuel line that connects the lift pump to the engine-mounted fuel filter is a flexible hose covered with braided steel, with a banjo fitting on each end. I've looked at the parts lists and talked to my local dealer, and all they show is a hard line made of metal tubing. I did a Google search, and there's some vague mention about the flexible line fixing some kind of fuel delivery problem that the engine originally had, but I can't find enough detail to tell whether it's OK to use the hard line. No one I've talked to can find a replacement for the flexible line I currently have. I'd like to replace it, because it seems to be weeping a little fuel through the braid, which implies that the interior rubber hose is breaking down.
