I finally made it out on my 1976 D.S. II for the first time yesterday. It went pretty well. I think I finally figured out the boom vang. Not sure if I set it up right, but it seemed to work ok. I just tied it around the bottom of the mast with a short piece of line. Still uncertain about the centerboard rigging. Some pics i have seen show it attached to something from above in the cuddy. My boat doesnt seem to have anything this would attach to. Everything worked fine, although I didn't really have any control of raising or lowering the board.. Thanks for your help.

cb rigging

Here is a picture of the cb rigging. There is also a schematic at this site. http://groups.msn.com/RogerConrad/shoebox.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=97

upper connection?

Thanks for the picture and diagram. I'm still unclear on how this all connects above. It looks like it hooks to the cuddy top somehow, but there doesn't appear to be anything on my boat to hook it to. Is the diagram a picture of standard rigging or do I need to install some type of cleat? Any suggestions??? Thanks again.

What is the C.B. line/block connected to above?

I'm still having trouble understanding this connection for the centerboard on my 1976 DS II. How is this block system attached to the top of the cuddy as pictured? My setup looks similar to the lower half of the diagram, but I seem to be missing something from the upper portion of the picture. I can't see anything that was ever there to attach anything to. Is this a standard CB setup for the DS II or is it an add on? Thanks again for the help.
