hello folks, I was wondering if anyone on this site could help me identify and inform me on this little sailboat I recently acquired. I don't really know anything about sailing and just wanted to get some info on this thing before I just got rid of it. Thanks for any input. The length of the boat is 10' 8" long and about 52" wide, mast is 20' and the sail is 16'.

Locate the Hull ID Number. It should be located on the outside right corner of the hull. This number will have a code thet will translate to who is the builder, model, serial number and date of manufacture. Do you have rudder and center board?
Don't get rid of that boat- it will teach you the very basics of sailing in 30 minutes. Take it and a life jacket to a small lake and let the fun begin!

I don't have a rudder or center board.....I have the boat and the mast/sail....I didn't even know what it was missing
Rudder and center board are easy to make out of plywood for those. Just an afternoon job.
Edit to add, with no boom on the bottom of the sail, it is going to be a slow sail going upwind. I have a sail like that on a sailing dink and it does well going down wind, not great performance going upwind. YMMV.

I wouldn't even know where to begin on making a rudder or center board (not because I am not skilled but because I have no idea what I am even making...haha). Is this boat worth anything? I think I might just sell it and buy a kayak....
