Help Me... Propane Question

Help Guys and Gals,I've never had propane on a boat before my 380 and yesterday I put in re filled propane bottle and tried to light the burners in anticipation of heading over to Nantucket for a week of cruising starting this Friday. No propane is making it to the burners. What are my trouble shooting steps to get this fixed quick? Selenoid? Can't be clogged line, I used it all last season.... What are the steps to follow to fix?Thanks in advance for your thoughts.Bob KnottH380

Bob- first the dumb things,tank value open? dc breaker on? gas selniod on? I noticed on my stove it takes a while (15 to 30 seconds) for the gas to flow to the burners with a new tank and be sure to hold the gas burner value in when trying to light stove and hold it until the theromcupler is hot (5 to 10 seconds) if none of the above work you will just have to trace the gas flow until you lose gas, sometimes over the winter a spider will clog a jet and shut down the system Hope your is a easy fix Pete "Our Pleasure"

Air Bleed??

Bob;I have a 98 H376, I believe it's the same set-up as far as the propane system is concerned as your 38. I've noticed that if the system hasn't been used in awhile, especially the first lighting of the season, it takes quite awhile to bleed the air thru the lines out the the stove. Even after it lights it will some times go out and need to be re-lit. Do you have any pressure coming out of the burners? If not check pressure in tank. Try lighting the stove with a match or lighter to eliminate the stove ignitor as a possible problem. Obviously check LP gas breaker on panel and soleniod switch (mine's on side panel near sink)to insure they are on.Good LuckTom LaRoccoFollow the Sun

Check leak detector

If you have a leak detector, you may have to depress the gague to charge the lines.

Bob, If after all of the above have been tried and you are still not getting gas to the stove, the problem may be in the solenoid(sp?). From what I can gather, they do have a nasty habit of corroding. The other problem may be corrosion in the wiring to the solenoid, but that can be checked with a multimeter.
