I tried posting this before, it possibly did not work. sorry if it did and this is just a repeat. My mast fell down on my 14 ft widgeon, and cracked a small hole on the top of the boat. My biggest problem though has been trying to find a new peice that can replace that small metal peice that held the mast in place, located on the front most part of the bow. I'm not sure what it's called but it's got two holes in it and screws directly into the bow. One hole is for the front mast line and the other hole is for the jib (sp?). I can't find a replacement anywhere. If anyone knows where I can find one, or even directly from O'day....PLEASE let me know. I will check this site but my email is also: jfmckeev@unity.ncsu.edu. I'm not the best with boats (thats how my mast fell down) so if you have any suggestions I would GREATLY appreciate it. Thanks. John

These things happen

John - Don't worry about being good with boats or not - its supposed to be fun for the most part. If it is - you're good. If it isn't - learn to make it fun, then you'll be good. Its just about being out there. The piece you are talking about can probably be obtained from www.odaysailboats.com. Good luck and keep the questios coming - we love to help make it fun.
