Help Loose Strut on Irwin

When the boat was put up this fall I found the strut to be loose. I'm use to the big heavy power boat stuff so seeing the strut disapear into the gelcoat surprised me.Does anyone know how irwin fassened the strut to the hull and what needs to be done to make it right again?

Not real sure.

I would not be completely sure how it would have been attached but I would venture to say that it was inserted into the gel coat/hull and fastened by bolts from within the bilge. Some company’s used bedding compounds, such as Sicoflex, which over time can loose its adhesion capabilities.
