I have a fuel leak from the injection pump,(at the gasket-shim) and the motor seems to not be getting up to full power, and at wide open I get black smoke. Motor runs fine-cranks right up.(2gmf by the way)
I'm not sure where you are saying the leak is, but if it is in the fuel delivery side of the pump (injector side) then that will cause the engine to be out of time and smoke..aloso a faulty injector could cause the same. I would get the fuel leak fixed first then see how it runs. Good Luck
