want to replace roller foiling jib sheet jam with Harken #296 15o 1"H to help with single handling sailing from cockpit.removed plate inside cabin.removed fairlead/screw/nut.question how do i get cleat off the cabin top, don't want to break anything.comments please.thanksBob

Try This

Some form of sealant was probably used to ensure a water tight application. If that is the case use a heat gun or if you don't have ona a hair dryer to heat around area where cleat is. Best of Luck with your project.
