seat
I made a seat out of Mahogony and attached it to the stern rail. It is a piece of wood about 9" by 12" and is attached at the aft of it to the top of the stern rail with two rail table mounts that I found at west marine. The mounts are plastic with a metal screw which makes it easy to remove. To support the front of the seat I mounted two allumunium poles (from an old bimini) on hinges and they start at the front of the seat and run down on a 45 degree cant to rest against the raised edge under the stern rail. It is even a good place to mount a flag (on the back of the seat). Mine seems to work great and it is easily removed of lowered if needed.
