Well, i just wanted to say hello to everyone on the forum. I just purchased a 1975 Mac Venture. So far it seems like a great boat, a bit bigger than my last three boats(Laser, Sunfish, and Hunter 140) But i do like it. One thing i noticed is under motor power with the keel up you may as well be in an airboat as it slips and slides everywhere. Also a pain in the rear to get back on the trailer correctly. Other than that i LOVE IT!!! Is there any owners in the Gainesville/Alachua County area? Wayne P.S. It is a 25 foot, i didnt post that before!

Leave the keel down a bit and you won't have that problem under power. You'll be saying "Good Golly Miss Molley"
