Height of boat on trailer

How tall does the Catalina 22 with a swing keel sits on a trailer with the boom stowed on a crutch? I am looking at buying one, and am in the process of building a garage where I may work on her. I need to know how high (and wide) to make the garage door. Thanks in advance.

Depends on the trailer configuration, the boat and cabin specs are pretty predictable.

Mine is just about 8' even, and I went for a 9' door on the shop. If I dropped the mast off the crutch and onto the stern pulpit, I might be able to get it through an 8' garage door, but 9' is safer.

You may want to trade boats at some point and it may be higher and wider. Get a big door.

As a reference, my O'Day 25 with a shoal keel is about 10' 6" on the trailer with the mast on the pulpits
