hi, I need to know what is the height of a 34 1984from bottom of keel to top of boat mast unstepped, i have the 4.3 draft verson.
also ,can i leave the stanchions up, in other words besides storing, doger, bimini can i expect to be hauling the boat as is.
in my research i read a post of someone looking for transport talking about 10' 6", can anyone confirm this height. the boat can't exeed 13' once on the trailer
(local rules,connecticut).
thanks (i just bought this beauty)

Some guessing going on here and it is going to be close.
Draft is 4' 3" according to specs. The sole is below the water line, so add about 5'6" plus say 8 " for cabin top thickness and mast base Total 10' 5". Leaves you 2' 7" for the trailer.
Take the dorade vents off- they can easily blow off when hauling and are VERY hard to replace.

Very similar to my own that just shipped from Florida to Ohio. As you can see the keel was less than 12" from the road so height was not a problem.

thanks for the replies, if i manage to have a 16" trailer height off the ground, can i think of leaving the stanchions and life lines on or this is out of the question (to high).
besides the dorads are there other item i should remove or protect.

also, can anyone inform me on permit needs if i decide to haul the boat myself
(not use a transport company) since I can have acess to a 6 wheeler ford f350 and a trailer made for hauling boats.I know transporters need to get permits but I was told that since its my boat and i'm moving it myself i wouldn'need permits. If i do need permits where do i inquire.
thanks
