height and length of boom 9.2C

For those with the 9.2C, what is the distance from the bottom of the boom at the mast to the deck? How long is the boom? I'm thinking of raising the boom on our boat. That would require shortening it also as it is 13 feet long and it would hit the backstay. Another, older, 9.2C with a 4' 11" draft in my marina has the boom at least six inches higher than mine. We have the shoal draft version and one foot higher would provide standing headroom in the cockpit.

I'll try to go by my 9.2C tomorrow and measure it for you. In the meantime, do you have a bimini on yours? If so, I would like some measurements/info from you!

Measurements are: 34 5/16 inches from mast step to bottom of bracket with gooseneck where bracket is attached to mast, 154 inches from end of boom to mast (includes gooseneck and bracket), 12 inches from aft end of boom to backstay, 67 inches from cockpit sole to bottom edge of boom as measured approx. halfway between wheel and companionway opening. I hope these measurements help.

Do you have any info regarding a bimini?

Didn't go to boat this weekend. I can tell you the bimini is 5ft from front to back and its feet sit on the cockpit coamings. The top is about 5ft 7 inches or so from the cockpit floor. This is why I want to raise the boom. Anything else you'd like to know?

When I got my boat it had what was left of a bimini top (canvas pretty shot) that had been very poorly installed. I took it off and am trying to figure out if I can change the attachment points and make it right. What I really would like to have are complete measurements of the frame and attaching locations and pictures if possible. I would like to be able to lower the frame when the weather is nice but not have it interfere with the mainsheet/traveler or be uncomfortable to sit against. Maybe I am looking for the impossible!

the only way i can lower mine is by pulling the quick release pins, laying it behind the traveler then reconnecting it. hopefully this weekend i can get some pics and measurements.

The bimini feet are 76 inches apart and about 33 inches fromb the back of the rear cockpit coaming.
