I'm planning a couple of possible cruises that may include fixed bridges and would like to know if anyone has measured the following heights above the waterline:

1) mast still attached to the deck and lowered to rest on the standard mast crutch on the stern. This would be the height shown in the 26s promotional video when the boat passes under a low fixed bridge.

2) mast secured for towing.

IIRC the mast is 28' and the cabin is around 3-4' from the waterline so, 32', and a foot or 2 for boat wakes to be safe... one way to be sure it tie a line to the mast and measure the line.

I use 14 feet as a min. 4 feet to the cabin top and 10 feet to the top of the gin pole when it is straight up.

Six feet, not on the trailer but in the water. 4 feet to the water line and 2 feet above the deck.

I went to the boat today and took some measurements.

From waterline to the base of the mast is about 4.5 feet. My stock gin pole is shorter than yours, TB, only about 6.5 feet. So with the mast lowered to no higher than the gin pole, the height is about 11 feet above the waterline. I took the picture some time ago. I wish I'd taken the measurements then.

With the mast no higher than it would be for trailering, the stock mast support on the stern, supporting the end of the mast, is about 7 feet above the waterline. That's the lowest height my boat can fit under, on the water, without going to a lot more trouble fiddling with the mast.

Normal masthead height above the waterline, with a vhf antenna, is 33'.

As always, ymmv.
