Hi everybody!
has someone heard about a heck-extension for the Albin Vega. I have
seen it on a Albin Vega in Switzerland but could not find the owner.
Thanks for your help. Regards

Hi Thomas,
I suppose that you mean an extension to the stern of the boat?

In English "stern" means the back or "aft" end of the boat and "transom"
means the (nearly) vertical bulkhead through which the exhaust pipe emerges.

I am sorry but I have not seen a Vega with extension to the stern of the
boat - if that is what you mean?

Do you have any photos?

Maybe Thomas means the additional stern rudder
Frank Gallardo

Hi John,
That\'s exactly it, thanks.
In fact the stern is about 60 to 70 cm longer than the original. On
the stern the transom part is only about 15 cm high which gives a
sort of platform (to go swimming) and also a place for an aditional
storing box.

And it (the extra length) would increase the hull speed slightly.

And the swimming platform (like big Beneteau's have) would be a very handy
place to keep a dinghy.

It would not be an easy job though!

I recall seeing a photo of a Vega with a "Sugar
scoop" stern a few years back. Very interesting
looking but it would have to be a heck of a job.

Do a search on the transactions in this users group. I do remember seeing some posts about someone putting an extension platform on the back of their Vega.
