reef, reef, reef
i have found that the 25 (the swing keel version) is a very tender boat. it doesn't like heavy weather - especially if you have a lot of sail up. my first move as soon as the wind starts to pipe up is to reef the main. as the wind speed continues, i roller furl the genny until i feel comfortable. i don't let the macho factor get in the way. a relatively even keel makes for a happy crew, preserves the strength, keeps the pleasure in sailing.
