We own a 1976 C30 berthed in Deale, MD and have some questions concerning best options for heating and cooling in the Maryland area. We're thinking of installing a 12,000 BTU Mermaid Marine Air reverse air system in the spring, but wish to know what we can use for heating until then (plan to keep boat in water for late season sailing). Are ceramic heaters a viable option? How difficult is the installation of the Mermaid system? Best to have it professionally done?Also, very interested in learning of on-board internet options as we spend lots of time on the boat and require good internet access for school work.
