Head Pump Handle

I was pumping the Jabsco on Saturday when the handle pulled apart in my hand. Headed to West Marine to (where the PO works part time) pick up a replacement, thinking this won't take long. Wrong. The part for all 310s prior to 2007 is no longer in production and very difficult to find. The young woman took the initiative to call the PO who told us he had 2 break off in the 10 years he owned the boat. He told me where to look and sure enough I found a spare that he had stowed away on our boat.

Has anyone else had this happen? I'm now trying to track down a spare to keep on the boat.

Check West Marine again - there are three models for different years, and they have parts for the older ones. Also look at Defender $68.00. You can also purchase the entire pump assembly that will mount to our unit. ($107.00)

Hope that helps, yes it has happened; happened to us when we tool delivery of our new to us 2001 so we ended up just putting in a full new head. Just did my first rebuild of it last week after (4) years.
