I have just purchased a Beneteau 35s5 and am replacing the head hoses. There is one that goes from the Jabsco head to the Y-valve and the through a through hull. The through hull appears to be metric (or 1 3/8" I.D) but the head and new Y-valve are 1 1/2" I.D. What would you recommend without changing the through hull?

I'm not sure you need anything....
Hoses are "female" so hose sizes are always the ID measurement...but fittings are "male, so fittings sizes are always the OD measurement 'cuz the hose goes over it. So a 1 3/8" ID fitting is most likely 1.5" OD--the right size to fit in a 1.5" hose.

Porta-potti chemical
Is there a particular product that you recommend to put in the tank of a porta potti to control odors? Mine has the pumpout option and vent if that makes any difference. Oops, meant to start a new thread but replied instead. Sorry. The question still stands.

All you have to do here is pull the old hose off and measure it. I would bet 5 bucks that Peggy is right, and it is 1.5" on both ends. But I would bet 10 bucks that whatever it is, it is the same on both ends.
