I tried to check in with the head mistress, but she's offline, so this goes to all of you who have rebuilt your Raritan heads. "This Old Boat" recommends slicking parts up with Vaseline. I recently heard that there is a Teflon-based grease that is superior. West Marine never heard of it and it's not on the Raritan web site. Is there such a thing and if so, where do I get it?

Try again

You might try Peggie's forum again cuz she's knows all. Are you talking about a teflon grease designed for heads or just plain ol' teflon grease? You can find Boeshield at WM & it's teflon lubricant. I'm sure there are a whole bunch so I'm curious why WM said they didn't know about it??? LaDonna

Told 'em it was a Raritan product

LaDonna: I probably mislead West Marine, but I was told the teflon grease was a Raritan product. I checked Raritan's web site, and of course did not find it. WM offered me no alternative brands. I think I confused them.
