Head Gasket replacnent

Hey everyone.

I need to replace my head gasket as I'm loosing coolant and getting white smoke out of the exhaust.

I'm having a hard time finding the parts for this job.

Has anyone had to replace theirs recently?
Boat info is a 1991 Catalina 30, universal M25XP

The M25XP is a Kubota D950. Any agricultural diesel or Kubota dealer can supply this gasket. A head gasket set can be had on eBay for $47, an entire top-end gasket set for $100.

Oh, if you go the marine diesel parts route, expect to pay $165 for just the head gasket.

Is that the tractor model #: d 950?
Engine block # is usually very different.
You need the tractor model # to deal with any Kubota dealers you come across.

No, you just need the gasket part number.

here in Ontario, i called a local marine parts place, and their price for just the head gasket is $285.

I will look around with the details you provided.. thanks alot!

I think Kubota part number for your gasket is 15576-03310. Again, on eBay, $47.

Gasket thickness

Hi,

I just did a complete rebuild. Messers is a great spot online to get kubota parts.

Get a kubota head gasket actual part as others may not be the right thickness. I originally got a Chinese knockoff and it was too thick.

Did you do a compression test to ensure it is a head gasket?
