head flush water intake

Hi
This Jabsco toilet sys is new for me. When I use the pump there is no water comming in. [I bought this boat with the problem] How dose it work? what shell I do or look for ?

Were you told there IS a problem?

Or do you just assume there is one because you don't know how the tollet works?

If your problem is just lack of instruction, you can get the instruction manual for your toilet here: Jabsco manual toilet instructions The same instructions will work even if your toilet is not the Twist 'n' Lock model.

If there's actually a problem, I suspect you'll need to replace something called a "flapper valve"...but first, try the instructions.

Or check the thru-hull water intake valve to make sure it's open.

While you will never go wrong taking Peggy's advice to read the manual, I've found that a number of Jabsco's don't seem to draw water due to a sticking "Wet/Dry" lever (move it back forth a number of times first) or by the pump losing prime. In the latter case, pumping the handing really vigorously will often get things started. Worth a try.
