PEGGY, HOW DO YOU GET RID OF THE ODOR IN THE COMPARTMENT THAT THE HOLDING TANK WAS LOCATED IN? I took your advice and put in a thetford portapotti and it's the best update yet.

Buy a gallon of PureAyre http://www.pureayre.com and a 2 liter pump garden sprayer (works just as well as their ultra pricy "mister" for 10% of the price). Clean every surface, nook and cranny...do not rinse..let it dry...then spray every surface, nook and cranny with PureAyre and let that dry, leaving all hatches and lockers open so that plenty of fresh air can circulate, for at least 24 hours.
Spend a week at the boat.
You will not notice any smell by then. Seriously use a lot of disinfectant and fresh air.
