Hi all,
I am new on Oday Owners I am a member of Catalina Owners with my Catalina 27. I am in the proccess of buying a 1982 Oday 34 here in Michigan. The Deal is made pending a Survey. Here is my Problem. The Boat is in the water, I am having it surveyed Monday the Marina wants $150 on (top of the Survey fee of $515) to haul the boat for the surveyor to see the Hull . In the pictures that my broker took the Hull looks fine. I have not heard of any big issues with Hulls on Oday.
What do you guys think?

Thanks in Advance
Pat

IMO? Haul it. You can't tell if the thru hulls are good with a photo, but the surveyor can if the boat is out.

Absolutely haul it. No self-respecting surveyor would inspect a boat without also sounding the hull nor would I buy a boat without a hull inspection regardless of what boat it is. The thru hulls are a minor consideration if the hull is saturated even in part.

Thanks ... I will have it hauled. I should have known that. But lots of excitement going on here with the new boat coming
