Hauling a 25' Hunter

Hi everyone,

I have a 1985 25' Hunter and a 2006 Nisson Xterra. Does anyone know if an Xterra can haul this boat safely? I have read somewhere that other people have done it. Currently I don't have a tow package so I will need that of course. What tow package do I need and whats the best way to tow a boat of this size (Like taking down the mast etc..).

Max towing capacity for Xterra is 5000#, the 25 displaces around 4500#. A suitable trailer would run 15-2500#, looks like you would be over gross. Your owners manual should have those numbers, or call your dealer.

hunter 25 Brunswick me
why don;t you just have it taken out by a boat hauler, and buy stands it would be cheaper then buying a trailer
