When you get good service from anyone these days it is refreshing and I just had a great experience with Attwood Marine. I had a problem with failed (10 YO) pumps in my H450 shower sumps. I couldn't find them anywhere as they are discontinued. Faced with re-engineering or replacing the sumps entirely, I dropped a note to Attwood for some suggestions on backwards engineering or whatever suggestion they had. I received a prompt reply from Steve in technical support that bore good news for me. They had squirreled away a few of the specific model that I needed for just such an event and I now have the replacements in my hands. :dance:No jury rigging, no complete replacement, just an easy crimp and screwdriver operation to fix.

I had two Attwood shower sumps that would airlock. Sent two requests to Attwood for assistance and no reply. West Marine also sent a request for Attwood to get back to me regarding the airlock problem. Again no reply. I have since solved the problem, but would never recommend an Attwood product. As a delivery skipper for the last twenty years, I can say that Attwood leaves a lot to be desired in the customer service area.

Ned,

We have a 2006 Hunter 45 CC and have the Attwood shower sump w/ pump and float switch in the aft head. Is your's a similar set up? I have had to replace the pump once so far, but mnaybe need o get a replacement pump now whqile thay are still available.
